First of all, because I had the desire to start a business and incorporate all of the things I enjoy into it with the idea that business and social responsibility can be redefined by future consumers. As I reflected into personal habits that had a significant impact into our environment, I realized on my over consumption of plastic water bottles. I liked the convenience of staying hydrated everywhere I went, but the carbon footprint left behind left a lot to be desired.
To make matters worse, the image/video of the cool lil’ turtle with a plastic straw stuck on their nose has been engraved in my head ever since I first saw it. One small change on a personal level might seem insignificant, but collectively changing this habit among a greater audience might help yield a better outcome to our ecosystems. I know the product isn’t perfect, and we still use plastic in our shipping materials and our water bottle, but as our support grows we hope to pay closer attention to the smaller details that we can improve upon.
Experimentation, I suppose. I wanted not only a water bottle that corrected my behavior, but that also would suit my needs. That’s where the built in retractable straw comes in. This simple change allows you to drink without tilting your head backwards allowing you to continue walking, biking, or driving without spilling water on yourself. The added convenience has allowed me to drink more water in a day without even trying. Next, the concealed carrying handle gives it easier portability and can be hidden when positioned in a backpack or a drink holder. Lastly, our blank papyrus canvas allows you to invoke the creative forces of ancient civilizations and customize the bottle with your own artwork or stickers if you’re artistically challenged like me. If you prefer a simple and clean design — I think that’s rad too. My initial focus was to have the product stand on its own.
Hoping for a one week lead time, but I will focus on reducing this as I streamline the process. For now, just realize that I do have a full time job so that cuts into my ability to provide quick service. I will be as transparent as possible with communication on shipping times to ensure a smooth process. Show your support in person to avoid these situations.
We will prioritize shipments with USPS however we can work with the delivery vendor of your choice. The slight range of prices is largely due to shipping costs, but if you want a standard price and you handle the shipping costs — we welcome that choice.
